Bruce Batey is a family lawyer and the founding director of Bateys Law Firm, a practice he established in October 2007 in Revesby, South West Sydney. The firm provides legal services in family law (including divorce, parenting orders, consent orders, and property settlement), wills and estate planning, probate, and property conveyancing.
Bruce brings a commercial perspective to legal practice. Before entering law, he worked in trade and corporate roles. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) specialising in Strategic Business Management, in addition to his legal qualifications. This combination informs his approach to property settlements and business-related family law matters, where financial and commercial considerations are central to achieving fair outcomes.
Professional Leadership
Bruce served as elected President of the Bankstown and District Branch of the Law Society of New South Wales for three years. The Law Society is the professional association representing solicitors in NSW, responsible for regulation, advocacy, and professional standards.
